This workshop will be a facilitated discussion with three attorneys working in victims’ rights clinics across the United States. The discussion will focus on holistic approaches to victim intake and representation. The panel will discuss considerations for intake with new victims, victim referrals, and representation, emphasizing doing no further harm to the victim. Additionally, the workshop will cover considerations when a clinic is affiliated with a law school and/or utilizes law students to aid victim representation.
