MELODIE JOHNSON

Presentation: Introduction to Practical Representation

Melodie Johnson, J.D., is a staff attorney for the Maryland Crime Victims' Resource Center, Inc. (MCVRC). She received her law degree from the University of Maryland and was admitted to practice in 1995. She previously worked at the Office of the Public Defender, in felony trials and at the Legal Aid Bureau, Inc. litigating child abuse and neglect cases. She also has done substantial appellate work as counsel for the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. At MCVRC, she represents crime victims in federal and state courts in a variety of legal matters ranging from murder cases, child abuse, sexual assault, robbery, and domestic violence.
