What Just Happened in Oregon?
Practical Implications of Crime Victims’ Rights Enforcement

Brad Berry has served as the Yamhill County, Oregon, District Attorney since 1996. He is an Oregon State University graduate and received his law degree from Gonzaga University. Prior to election as the Yamhill County DA, Mr. Berry served as a Yamhill County deputy district attorney and engaged in private practice. Mr. Berry has strengthened domestic violence investigations, community education, and specialized prosecution. He is actively involved in the Attorney General’s Crime Victims’ Rights Compliance Project and helped create an innovative restitution collection program that is a model for other jurisdictions. He is a member of the team drafting legislation in the event that Oregon amends its constitution to allow victims limited standing to enforce their constitutional rights.

Mr. Berry has a strong background of service with drug and alcohol policy, child fatality review, child abuse assessment, city commerce, and state and national bar associations. He frequently instructs law enforcement, judges, district -- and other -- attorneys, community colleges, service clubs, senior groups, chambers of commerce and other community groups. He lives with his wife in Newberg, OR.
